Hmmmm.....
I think it's time I put a real post in this thing. So....
I've been trying to workout more and have found myself looking at a lot of fitness magazines and such a lot more. I want to try and stay as healthy as possible and maybe I can live to be the oldest person alive ever, which might not be as fun as it sounds. Ionno. I get bored and working out is a great stress reliever. My cousin signed up for 24 hr fitness and got me a 30 day free trial pass. So I'm trying to abuse that pass as much as possible before it expires.
I think I will set a goal for myself on where I should be in terms of fitness, I'm just not sure where I want to be for now. Currently, I'm at:
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 165 lbs
Mile: ~7:10
Pull-ups: 8
Sit-ups: 40
Push-ups: 35
Bench (10 reps): 205 lbs
Bar Curl (10 reps): 70 lbs
I don't know if these are the right stats to measure my fitness level by, but if u guys want to measure up against me, now you know.
I'm going to try and focus more on my endurance from now on though because I'm planing on entering a triathlon within the next month. I did a practice sprint triathlon by myslef the other day and I wasn't walking at the end, so I think I'll be alright. I did about a quarter-mile swim, a 15-mile bike ride, and a 2-mile run. It took me about 2 hours, but I wasn't really timing myself. I really need to work on my swimming though. I had to take a break after each lap and my form is terrible. I biked at a very slow pace but with a few sprints, the bike part felt good. By the time I got to the run, my legs were numb, which was a good thing because I couldn't feel any pain. I ran the whole two miles, but at a slow pace. I heard that a lot of people mainly use their arms when they swim, so that they don't tire their legs for the other two sections of the race. So, I might try that next time. But, I really need to learn to swim first.
That's all for now. Until next time.
OLT out!
